English Language Requirements
The ‘International English Language Testing System’ is produced by Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. English skills are tested under four categories – reading, writing, speaking and listening. For immigration purposes, the grading identified by an IELTS certificate is the recognised standard of English language skills, but other evidence of an ‘English speaking background’ may be acceptable.
To sit the IELTS test and obtain a certificate, it will be necessary to contact a local examination centre. We suggest a web search for an IELTS centre near you. |
